Uguzzoni

My name is Andrés Miguel Panza Uguzzoni. My identity is as international as my journey through the world of architecture. I began my academic path at UCV in Caracas, Venezuela, where I had the opportunity to serve as a teaching assistant for the courses ‘Expresión Arquitectónica’ and ‘Habilidad del Pensamiento Creativo,’ thanks to my high academic performance. After completing the 5-year curriculum, I was honored to be the first merit-based candidate admitted to a dual-degree program. This allowed me to further my studies in English for an additional two years at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. There, I earned a European-valued degree in Sustainable Architecture, and became certified to practice architecture at the European level.

For my master’s thesis in Italy, I conducted material science research, culminating in the invention of a powdered agent capsule for self-healing applications. As of now, I have two published academic papers related to this groundbreaking project.

While still in Venezuela, I had the privilege of designing buildings and solutions that I was proud to see come to life, thanks to having other architects in my family. I wasn’t merely designing; I also gained hands-on experience on construction sites, proudly building walls and installing electrical systems and pipes myself.

Subsequently, through my family’s enterprise, I embarked on international projects in the United States and Canada. After graduating in Europe, I had the continuous opportunity to collaborate with Isola Architetti in creating public works such as the Santa Croce Library in Cuneo, the Antropos Museum at Palazzo Botta in Pavia, the Marina Ex Cantiere Baglietto in Varazze, the Experience Hub by Unipol in Bologna, and with partner Rafael Moneo, the Cittadella della Giustizia in Venice and the Teatro Nuovo in Turin.

However, my theoretical journey is far from over. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree qualifying me to become a BIM Manager at the Escuela de Diseño in Madrid.
